To help more interventional specialists understand the clinical application techniques of Perlove Medical’s new-generation mobile flat-panel interventional C-arm system, learn from real-world procedural solutions, and improve diagnostic and treatment efficiency, we are launching a series of case-sharing sessions.
These ongoing updates will highlight the application of Perlove Medical’s mobile flat-panel interventional C-arm in classic interventional procedures such as transcatheter tumor chemoembolization, peripheral vascular interventions, and ERCP. Through authentic clinical cases, we aim to demonstrate the clinical value of mobile interventional imaging and work together to build a new ecosystem for precision medicine.

Transcatheter Arterial Chemoembolization(TACE)is the preferred treatment recommended in the Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Primary Liver Cancer (2026 Edition) for patients with intermediate- to advanced-stage primary liver cancer, and it is also one of the most established procedures in the field of minimally invasive interventional oncology.
The liver has a unique dual blood supply system: normal liver tissue is primarily supplied by the portal vein, whereas more than 90% of hepatocellular carcinoma growth and proliferation relies heavily on the hepatic arterial blood supply. TACE is based precisely on this pathophysiological characteristic.
Through femoral or radial artery puncture, a vascular sheath is inserted, and under precise imaging guidance, a microcatheter is advanced super-selectively through the sheath directly into the target arterial branches supplying the liver tumor;
❶ High concentrations of chemotherapeutic agents are then infused directly into the tumor-feeding artery, enabling precise delivery to the tumor lesion and effective destruction of cancer cells.
❷ Embolic agents are subsequently injected to occlude the tumor-feeding vessels, blocking the blood supply and nutrient delivery to cancer cells, thereby inducing tumor ischemia, hypoxia, necrosis, and shrinkage.
Clinical Features
Minimally Invasive:Only a vascular puncture is required, resulting in minimal trauma, faster recovery, and a shorter hospital stay;
Highly Targeted:Chemotherapeutic agents are delivered directly to the tumor site, significantly reducing systemic side effects compared with conventional intravenous chemotherapy;
Broad Clinical Applicability:TACE can be combined with ablation, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and other comprehensive treatment approaches for unresectable intermediate- to advanced-stage liver cancer, preoperative tumor downstaging, and prevention of postoperative recurrence;
Repeatable Procedure:Depending on tumor recurrence and residual lesion viability, interventional treatment can be performed multiple times in stages to achieve long-term control of tumor progression.
In TACE procedures, Perlove Medical’s mobile flat-panel interventional C-arm (PLX C9100) delivers high-definition, high-precision imaging performance combined with flexible and efficient mobile deployment capabilities. It is ideally suited to the clinical requirements of interventional liver cancer therapy and has become a preferred system for performing TACE in specialized departments and medical institutions at all levels.

❸ Mobile Design | Flexible Deployment and Multi-Department Sharing Capability
No operating room reconstruction is required, and no floor rails or ceiling-mounted systems are needed. The system operates on a standard 220V power supply and can be flexibly deployed across multiple departments, including oncology, interventional radiology, and hepatobiliary surgery. This enables a “one system, multiple scenarios” workflow, significantly improving equipment utilization efficiency.
