The emergence of dynamic DR has solved the problem of functional imaging in orthopedics. By utilizing continuous pulsed X-rays and a dynamic flat-panel detector, it enables dynamic imaging of the human body, assisting in the diagnosis of various conditions such as fractures, dislocations, and arthritis. These include scoliosis, femoral neck fractures, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, and bone tumors.
Perlove Medical has introduced a full-field dynamic DR with a 43CM × 120CM ultra-long flat-panel detector, achieving ultra-wide range imaging.

Long bone stitching technology has always been a key highlight of DR. Traditional DR imaging is typically limited to approximately 43cm × 43cm. When capturing full-spine or full-leg images, at least three exposures are required, followed by stitching. If the patient moves, the scan must be repeated, resulting in prolonged imaging time and increased radiation dose.
Perlove Medical has independently developed a full-field dynamic DR, which enables the acquisition of full-spine or full-leg images in a single exposure.

Compared to conventional DR, full-field dynamic DR offers significant advantages. It enables seamless full-spine and full-leg imaging in a single exposure, eliminating the need for long bone stitching. This enhances precision in large-field orthopedic diagnoses, including full-spine imaging, bilateral lower limb imaging, emergency trauma, orthopedic correction, and joint replacement.
Beyond seamless imaging, the greatest advantage of full-field dynamic DR is its ultra-low-dose whole-body imaging, which is particularly beneficial in adolescent scoliosis screening.
Although the risk of cancer from a single X-ray scan is about 1 in 10,000 for a child, scoliosis patients require frequent scans during treatment and face lifelong exposure to additional X-rays. Since X-ray radiation is cumulative, doubling the dose doubles the risk. For every additional 50μSv of radiation, three fatal cancer cases occur per million people. This risk is even more pronounced in children and adolescents, who are 5 to 10 times more sensitive to X-ray radiation than adults.

Since scoliosis is the most common orthopedic condition among adolescents, we can even say that full-field dynamic DR is specifically designed for adolescent scoliosis screening. Its radiation dose per examination is only one-third of that of conventional DR.
Today, Perlove Medical’s full-field dynamic DR has already been clinically implemented in pediatric medical institutions such as Nanjing Children’s Hospital in Jiangsu Province, China, and Qinghai Women and Children’s Hospital in China.
