In today’s era of rapid advancements in medical technology, orthopedic surgery is undergoing an unprecedented transformation. As a domestic brand with 22 years of deep cultivation in the orthopedic field, Perlove Medical is honored to have witnessed and participated in every step of the orthopedic surgical robot’s journey—from design and development to clinical trials and eventual clinical application.
Through our hands-on experience in clinical practice, we have deeply felt the revolutionary changes brought by robot-assisted surgery in achieving precise orthopedic treatment. Today, we will reveal the procedure of robot-assisted PVP (Percutaneous Vertebroplasty) surgery, aiming to share our experience with orthopedic peers and help you better understand and master the operational techniques of orthopedic surgical robots. At the same time, we hope to offer an easy-to-understand overview for the general public, helping everyone see how surgical robots provide safety and accuracy in procedures.
Let’s step into the world of orthopedic surgical robots~

1. Preoperative Preparation
- Prepare the robotic navigation system and install the sterile cover
- Attach the patient tracking markers
2. Robot-Assisted Surgery
- Perform 3D C-arm scan and complete image registration simultaneously
- Plan the insertion path for the Kirschner wire
- The robotic arm moves into position; a scalpel is used to make an incision before lowering the guiding sleeve
- Use an electric drill to insert the guiding needle
- Take anterior-posterior and lateral X-rays with the 3D C-arm to confirm proper placement
- Insert the working cannula along the guiding needle
- Insert the bone cement injector
- Under image guidance, slowly inject the bone cement
- Perform a 3D scan to verify the surgical outcome

The accuracy was consistent with the preoperative plan, and the bone cement dispersed well. The doctor completed the remaining procedures.
